The German Wolfhound has keen hunting instincts and the energy to fulfil its natural role as a working hunting dog. A good companion for an active family, it is known for being a loyal, gentle and affectionate pet.
Developed in Germany in the 19th century, it is one of the multipurpose breeds that fulfils the functions of hunter, pointer and cover dog, as it works both on land and in the water. The German Wolfhound is a popular pet and companion, as well as a hunting and working dog.
