The egg is a well-known symbol of renewal, birth and hope.
The tradition of creating a Silver Egg every Easter began with an order from Queen Amélia to Casa Leitão. A small egg in gold and enamel. Since then, a new decoration has been created every year on a carefully chiselled silver egg.
Leitão & Irmão is a company where creativity is part of everyone's DNA. Last year, a challenge was launched to all employees, regardless of their role, to make their own proposals for the special edition 2023 Egg.
This year, the invitation went to the master jeweler in charge of the gold workshop, Fátima Neto, to create her proposal for the egg - a decorative piece in silver.
The theme was abstract with the application of color. The result was a proposal with some figuration and application of color and various chiseling techniques.
The 2024 egg is called Ping'Amor, a funny name for a romantic and colorful model.

Leitão & Irmão pieces are of their own design, developed and manufactured in the Leitão & Irmão workshops in Lisbon according to the most rigorous jewellery, goldsmithing and silverware techniques, with expertise passed down from generation to generation over 200 years of existence.
All the pieces are signed Leitão & Irmão, marked with the manufacturer's punch and certified by the INCM National Assay Office.
Some works are numbered and signed by the artist who created them.
